Broadway Karaoke with James Corden

Picture this: Broadway veterans Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Corden, Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Jane Krakowski are all in a car together, traveling to the Tony Awards, singing Broadway show tunes at the top of their lungs.  No, it’s not a crazy dream, it’s the most recent incarnation of The Late Late Show with James Corden’s popular sketch, “Carpool Karaoke.”

Miranda and Corden start off with the obvious choice, a hybrid of “Alexander Hamilton” and “Guns and Ships” from the insanely popular hip-hop musical, Hamilton.  And after adding a few friends along the way (McDonald, Ferguson, and Krakowski), they wax nostalgic with a little “Seasons of Love” Rent and the popular oldie, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”  But it was the closing number, “One Day More” from Les Miserables that “stole the show.”

Check out the entire musical excursion below (if you don’t have time for the full 11 minute video, skip to the 8:10 mark):
