HAIM brings Shania Twain’s 90’s country classic into the 21st century.
Indie music darlings HAIM have covered another one of my favorites from the 1990’s! During a recent broadcast of Like a Version, a popular radio show on Australian radio station, Tripple J, HAIM covered That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain.
If you’re not familiar with Shania Twain, she was the reigning country-pop crossover queen, long before Taylor Swift showed up with her guitar and curly blonde hair. Twain recently disclosed that health took a turn on her voice, which might be why she’s no longer as well known, but once upon a time, her songs were at the top of both country and pop charts.

The Haim sisters (Alana, Danielle, and Este) took the time to gush over their love of all things Shania before putting their indie-pop-rock spin on the 1990’s classic. The result is something that both Shania Twain and HAIM fans should hear. Check the cover out for yourself and if you’ve never heard it before (or want to watch again), check out the original music video further down.
