Tom Cruise + a fat suit + music by Ludacris = movie gold!
Tropic Thunder is one of those movies you either love or you hate. You either find Robert Downey Jr.’s performance brilliant or totally offensive. You either find the ensemble and story line hilarious or you find it irredeemable. But there is one thing that fans and haters of the movie can agree on: Tom Cruise is amazing as Les Grossman, especially when he dances.
Sure, it may not be the example for wannabe professional dancers but you have to admit, there are a lot of professional dancers that are nowhere near this entertaining. In fact, my favorite scene in the entire film is when Tom Cruise is dancing through a negotiation with Matthew McConaughey and Bill Hader while Flo Rida’s “Low” plays in the background.
Don’t go anywhere just yet, if you haven’t experienced the end-credits of Tropic Thunder you are seriously missing out. In all honesty, while the above scene is actually in the movie, the end credits over “Get Back” by Ludacris are some of Cruise’s greatest dance moments:
