Wonderstruck is… “Engrossing, intelligent, beautifully engineered and expertly told in word and image.” – The New York Times Book Review

Wonderstruck the movie is almost here! In October, Brian Selznick’s infamous bestseller will hit the big screen and book-lovers can’t wait. Selznick has proven his fantastical books make breathtaking film adaptations. Don’t believe me? Check out Martin Scorsese’s Hugo.

Wonderstruck is in good hands, besides Selznick’s screenplay, the film boasts two of the most extraordinary actresses of our generation, Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams. The movie is directed by Todd Haynes, a director often better known for his complex and complicated dramatic films like Carol, Velvet Goldmine, and Far From Heaven (which also starred Moore).

Based on Brian Selznick’s critically acclaimed novel Ben and Rose are children from two different eras who secretly wish their lives were different. Ben longs for the father he has never known, while Rose dreams of a mysterious actress whose life she chronicles in a scrapbook. When Ben discovers a puzzling clue in his home and Rose reads an enticing headline in the newspaper, both children set out on quests to find what they are missing that unfold with mesmerizing symmetry.
