My mouth is watering over The Doughnut Project’s new Carnegie Deli inspired Reuben Doughnut Sandwich!

There is nothing more New York than a fresh, Reuben Sandwich from The Carnegie Deli and trust me, I got my fill before the flagship location closed. There was no reason to order anything other than the classic sandwich of rye bread, thousand island dressing, cheese, kraut, and pastrami piled as high as your mouth can handle (I’m getting hungry just thinking about it). Could it be possible to improve on this NYC classic? The Doughnut Project thinks so.

With locations in both Central Park and the West Village, The Doughnut Project delivers hand-crafted, specialty doughnuts daily. Go safe with the plain glaze, get that sweet and salty fix with the Bacon Maple Bar, or go bougie with the Bone Marrow doughnut. If you happen to be near one of their locations October 5th – 7th, you can (attempt to) order a Reuben Doughnut Sandwich, specifically crafted to honor the NYC staple, The Carnegie Deli. This mouthwatering combination of the classic reuben with a small-batch doughnut will be hard to get your hands on so be sure to arrive early.

Thrillist investigated the Reuben Doughnut Sandwich in a recent episode of the web-series, Fork Yeah. Watch below and mark your calendars for October 5th, 6th, and 7th – see you in the doughnut line!
