If you’re feeling up to it, relieve your aching with this 15 minute yoga routine for cold and flu season!

Get ready, because if it hasn’t hit you yet, cold and flu season is here and you’re the number one target. You can look forward to coughing, sneezing, headaches, body aches, and more. The amount of upper body tension you’ll feel is unbearable at times… and that’s just with a severe cold. So what can you do to help relieve all that aching and tension? Well, first, get lots of a rest and follow whatever advice was given by your doctor; but then, when you feel up to it, try Sara Beth’s 15 minute yoga routine for cold and flu season.

The routine combines a series of gentle yoga poses that can help alleviate tension and take away some of the stiffness that sets in. You should only try this routine if you feel ready, the key element in healing is to listen to your body. If your body is telling you not to practice today, do not practice, rest instead. And if you are practicing this routine and a specific pose doesn’t feel right… remember you’re sick, you should just stop that pose or maybe stop the whole routine for the day. Don’t push yourself when you’re sick, that’s rule number one!
