“Portal,” a new art installation in Vilnius, Lithuania and Lublin, Poland, reminds us that we are one world, united.

These days it feels like the world is more divided than ever. Whether it’s about race, gender, financial, or other forms of equality; every single person has a cause and a side to argue for. What we’re missing is a reminder that despite our differences, we are a united world and should be focused on coming together rather than division. That’s exactly what the new art installation, “Portal” does.

Can art unite us? Typically, it depends on who you ask. But in this case, the entire goal of “Portal” is to unite individuals or groups instantly from two very distinct points across the world. How amazing is it to be walking down a street in Vilnius, only to look over and greet strangers standing on the street in Lublin, over 300 miles away. Now, imagine expanding that possibility to many other cities around the world!
