In a recent Actors on Actors interview, original Grey’s Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl discussed their lengthy careers. During their time together, Heigl revisited her tumultuous end on the drama series, which resulted in an overall disdain for the actor. Heigl had to accept that she was disliked and, as a result, viewed as a villain.
“There’s two roles women fit into: victim or villain. People will always see you as one thing. And the women who are victims are only victims because they don’t have the guts to be a villain.”

Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo are both known as strong women who aren’t afraid to fight for what they want or what they believe is right. As a result, their ideas and opinions are not always met with positive reactions. The Grey’s Anatomy actors have had to accept that not everyone will like them.
