After watching the trailer, I can’t wait to see Daisy Edgar-Jones in Where the Crawdads Sing, out July 15, 2022.

I loved the book Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I wasn’t sure I would because there was so much hype around it by the time I got around to it, but from the moment I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Owens moved masterfully between the mystery at the book’s heart and the flashbacks to Kya’s life growing up.

I can’t wait for the movie adaptation. I tend to be nervous about movie adaptations, but I’m a big fan of Daisy Edgar-Jones after the series, Normal People, and I think she seems like the perfect actress to take on the complex role. Watch the Where the Crawdads Sing trailer below:
Where the Crawdads Sing stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) as “Kya Clark,” Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects) as “Tate Walker,” Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man) as “Chase Andrews,” Michael Hyatt (Snowfall) as “Mabel,” Sterling Macer, Jr. (Double Down) as “Jumpin’,” and David Strathairn (Nomadland) as “Tom Milton.” Olivia Newman (First Match) directs the screenplay by Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild) based upon the novel by Delia Owens. The 3000 Pictures film is being produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter.
