Harry Potter’s Hermoine Granger is all grown up in this retro Saturday Night Live sketch.
Saturday Night Live has brought us so many hilarious moments over the years and Hermoine Growth Spurt is no different. The sketch first aired in May of 2004; a simpler, easier time. In 2004, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers were still on SNL, Lindsay Lohan was still popular, and the third Harry Potter movie was about to release. How could SNL not take advantage of this perfect storm?

Host Lindsay Lohan used her um, assets, to make fun of Emma Watson’s inevitable growth spurt. With 5 (at the time, only 4) more films ahead of the young cast, Watson’s Hermione was sure to go through physical changes. In the Saturday Night Live sketch, Hermoine returns from summer vacation looking a little more grown up.
