How does a lady come to be with a child?! This moment from Bridgerton season 1 is one of my all-time favorite scenes from the series. Watch it now!
Bridgerton Season 3 is about to release its first four episodes on Netflix! As May 16th approaches, my excitement is through the roof. In the meantime, I’ve been rewatching past seasons (and Queen Charlotte, of course), and I have to say, I forgot just how fantastic this show is! This time around, I focused more on Penelope’s (Nicola Coughlan) character development. And I was even more memorized by Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) transformation over the two seasons. But what really stood out to me during this rewatch were the smaller, often humorous scenes that brought me the most joy.
I could watch this scene from Season 1 of Bridgerton on repeat. Eloise (Claudia Jessie) learned from Penelope that a woman doesn’t have to be married to have children. Naive Eloise then bursts in and asks her mother, Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell), and sister, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), “How does a lady come to be with a child?!” What follows is a hilarious exchange between Eloise and her brothers Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Colin (Luke Newton).
