I can’t wait for Wonka to come out. I adore Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (and its sequels). I fell in love with Gene Wilder’s famous interpretation as a child. And, to be honest, I didn’t hate Johnny Depp’s adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (though I wouldn’t watch it again…). With the release of a second trailer for Wonka, my excitement is overflowing, and December seems so far away!
Wonka stars Timothée Chalamet as the titular character in his younger years while he is still seeking his life’s purpose. The story is a prequel to Roald Dahl’s books and an entirely new chapter in the beloved saga. The film also stars Hugh Grant, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, and Olivia Colman.
