Directed by John Chu, the Rain Dance from Step Up 2: The Streets is easily one of the greatest dance scenes of all time.
Between the scenery, the dancing, and the rain, the finale of Step Up 2: The Streets is worth watching over and over. And thank goodness, because you don’t watch the Step Up franchise for the acting, you watch it for the dancing.
The movie starts with a cameo from the original film’s star, Channing Tatum, who essentially passes the ‘Step Up’ baton to Andie (Briana Evigan). Andie begins at a new school and starts a misfit dance crew. Because of her passion, they are instantly good enough to compete in an elite competition. The plot is terrible, but the dance scenes are awesome!
Starring Robert Hoffman, Evigan, Adam G. Sevani, and Harry Shum; choreographed by Jamal Sims, Nadine Ruffin, and Dave Scott.
