Celebrate the life and career of one of the greatest singers of all time in the new Amazon Prime documentary, I Am: Celine Dion.
It wasn’t cool to admit that you were a fan of Celine Dion back in the day. It was as if we gained some bullsh*t street cred by bashing the Canadian pop star, but let me be clear: I was a closeted superfan from the minute I first heard “Where Does My Heart Beat Now?” And I’ve been trying to sing along with her ever since. Damn, if I didn’t love belting out “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” in my car when no one was around. Still do!
Whether I publicly admitted it or not, Celine Dion’s music was a huge part of my life and got me through some very awkward, very melodramatic teenage nights. I’m proud to call myself a fan these days (and not just because Ryan Reynolds featured her in Deadpool 2!). I think I took her for granted back then and assumed that her one-of-a-kind voice would always be around. For me, she might be the concert that got away.
I Am Celine Dion
I Am: Celine Dion showcases the singer’s life and career and highlights her current battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, which is a neurological condition that causes severe muscle spasms and stiffness. It was this diagnosis that caused Dion to cancel her Courage World Tour and pivot her primary focus from her career to her health. For the first time since her diagnosis, the entertainer is giving an unfiltered look at her past and present and her hopes for the future. Grab the tissues and watch the full trailer below:
