Jennifer Connelly wore Louis Vuitton’s sneaker-boot hybrids to the Spring 2027 show in Paris, and I am obsessed. Love the look, especially the shoes.
Jennifer Connelly wore some of the weirdest shoes I’ve ever seen to the Louis Vuitton show, and I haven’t stopped thinking about them.
She attended the Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 show at the Louvre on October 6 as part of Paris Fashion Week. Nicolas Ghesquière turned the courtyard into a futuristic cityscape with flying cars that look like spaceships, so shoes that seem to have arrived from another planet fit right in.
Are they sneakers or boots? Yes.
They come from Ghesquière’s Cruise 2027 collection, which debuted at the Frick Collection in New York in May. Connelly’s pair is purple, pink, and black, with piped leather striping, boxing-style lacing, sneaker-inspired toe caps, and metallic color-blocked block heels. The runway versions sit on chunky, ribbed heels around four inches tall.
The rest of the outfit is just as busy. She wore a dark embellished Louis Vuitton mini covered in horizontal bands of pink and white ornament, plus a lavender cylindrical bag with a gold chain. It’s a lot, but the pinks and purples tie everything together, and the shoes keep the sweeter details from getting too sweet.
Connelly has been one of Ghesquière’s muses since his Balenciaga days, so it makes sense that she can pull off his strangest designs.
I’m not sure I could walk across a room in these, but I’d really like to find out.
Love the look. Especially the shoes.
