Joey King & Taylor Zakhar Perez Being Adorable [Actors on Actors]

Have I watched The Kissing Booth trilogy? Yes. Did I love it? No. Don’t get me wrong; there were some adorable moments, but overall, I wasn’t a fan, and I honestly have no idea why I watched all three. But I came out of it with a new affection for some of the actors, including Joey King and Taylor Zakhar Perez. Both actors have gone on to star in their own projects, and now they are sitting down to interview each other for Variety’s Actors on Actors series.

There are so many good Actors on Actors pairings this season! Jonathan Bailey and Naomi Watts; Quinta Brunson and Jennifer Anniston; and Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig, to name a few. But the joyfulness and familiarity between Joey King and Taylor Zakhar Perez are undeniable. They sit down to talk about their careers, including Red, White and Royal Blue (also starring Nicholas Galitzine, who has his own Actors on Actors interview with Leo Woodall) and We Were the Lucky Ones. But it’s their personal stories and friendship that make the interview worth watching. It might be one of my favorite Actors on Actors interviews yet… and I can’t say I saw that coming! Watch it now (and check out the other interviews after!):

Joey King (“We Were The Lucky Ones”) and Taylor Zakhar Perez (“Red, White and Royal Blue”) share laughs while reminiscing about “The Kissing Booth 2” and how their friendship blossomed at an airport. Perez acts King about the emotions of playing a Holocaust survivor and how her family keeps her grounded in Hollywood. Perez shares why ‘Saturday Night Live’ was the inspiration for his acting career and the impact “Red, White and Royal Blue” has had on its audience.
