One of my best moments during the pandemic was when I sat down to watch the Mythic Quest episode, “Quarantine.” This uplifting episode ends with one of my favorite television scenes of all time!

I love the show Mythic Quest on Apple TV+ and as far as I’m concerned there’s not a single bad episode (at the time of writing this, season 2 is still airing). The show is funny, quick-witted, and most of all, it has a lot of heart. And let’s be honest, heart and warm fuzzy feelings have never been more important than during the COVID quarantine.

Looking back, I don’t think I realized how important uplifting programming was until we were all stuck inside day after day. When Mythic Quest dropped its “Quarantine” episode, I was happy to have fresh entertainment, but a lot of outlets were beginning to create projects over Zoom, and most were mediocre at best. I almost skipped the “Quarantine” episode completely. But, after realizing how little I had to watch, I put my faith in creators Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney, and pressed play. What I encountered was a well-thought-out, scripted episode that had a lot of humor and a ton of heart – it was exactly what I needed.

There are so many scenes I could’ve chosen, but the final scene, when many of the Mythic Quest employees join together to create a pandemic version of a Rube Goldberg machine, well, that scene just puts a smile on my face every time.
